As we continue our message series People Praising God, we look at the apostle Paul and his co-worker Silas, who were thrown into prison in the city of Philippi in Macedonia. Apparently unfazed by their circumstances, the two men sat in their cell praying and singing hymns to God. That made an impression then, as it does now.
As we continue our message series on People Praising God, we turn our attention to Job, who continued to bless God even in the midst of the most devastating pain and loss. How could Job continue to acknowledge God’s greatness when his world was crumbling? And what can we learn from his example? Tom Murtagh, from Redeemer’s lay preaching team, brings the message.
In our message series People Praising God we take a look at people in the Bible who praised and gave thanks to God in times when it seems natural and times when it seems hard. Here we go to the Old Testament and the story of King David dancing before the Ark of the Covenant as it’s carried to Jerusalem. What can we learn and how can we be inspired by his example?
Who are your “spiritual parents” — the people who have equipped, encouraged, and invested in you? In this message, we think about our place in the body of Christ, those who’ve walked ahead of us, and those who God may be calling us
to equip and influence. Rachel Quest, Redeemer’s Ministry Coordinator, brings us the message.
