Redeemer’s Park Ridge campus is tucked away in a residential part of town, just one block west of Cumberland and one block north of Talcott. We don’t have a parking lot, but there’s always plenty of street parking is always available.
We have two worship services on Sunday mornings — a more traditional service at 8:30 and our contemporary Encounter service at 11:00. At 8:30, it’s organ and piano music and a structured order to things. At 11:00, the music is led by our Encounter band, and the service is less structured. Both services include multimedia — images and video on the screen accompany the message, and song lyrics are projected for the Encounter service.
We do celebrate Holy Communion at both services every week.
People at Redeemer dress anywhere from very casual (flip flops in summer) to business casual, with an occasional suit in the mix. There are small tables in the back of the worship space, and some parents with young children find that those work well for kids who want to draw or color during the service. “Busy bags” with coloring books, puzzles, etc., are ready and waiting for the little ones.
The worship services lasts about an hour. During the message (sermon) at the Encounter service, the youngest children are invited to leave worship and spend that time playing in the nursery or the gym, supervised by our childcare attendants.
After services, people hang around and have coffee, cold drinks, and snacks while they connect with new friends or reconnect with old ones.
During the school year, we have Community Learning Time between the services. This includes Sunday school for the children and discussion-based classes for grown-ups (no previous experience required!).
We believe you’ll find friendly faces when you visit Redeemer. We want you to feel comfortable and welcomed and free to participate however deeply you choose to.
